Our efforts

Under the mission of “Facing the future. Nature.” Specifically, by utilizing renewable energy such as wind power, solar power, and water power, we aim to not only protect the environment but also revitalize the local economy and society.

Small wind power generation business

We are promoting the development of small wind power generation mainly in the Hokkaido and Donan regions. Click the image below for details.

Solar power generation business

One of our strengths is high-precision site selection using simulators. Click the image below for details.

Small hydroelectric power generation business

Our company conducts careful preliminary surveys and flow rate observations. Click the image below for details.

Why renewable energy

In May 2021, the IEA (International Energy Agency) announced the Roadmap Net Zero by 2050」 in the global energy sector to 2050.

Net zero means reducing the total of greenhouse gas or carbon dioxide emissions minus absorption and removal to zero in order to stop climate change. The roadmap calls for net-zero carbon emissions in the global electricity sector by 2040 and approximately 90% of electricity generation from renewable sources by 2050. Also, looking at the renewable resource breakdown shown here, solar and wind will account for 70% of power generation.

Increasing investment in clean energy

Achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 requires the rapid and large-scale development of clean and efficient technology, which is driving active investment in clean energy. The recent global investment in the clean energy sector is said to be about 1.2 trillion dollars, and even today, many countries are already investing in it. Furthermore, according to the roadmap above, it will increase to about $4.3 trillion by 2030.

Amid this growing momentum, medium- to long-term investment in the renewable energy field has started, mainly by major companies in Japan. It is calculated that it will increase from about 4.8 trillion yen in 2030 to 16.6 trillion yen in 2030.

Rising energy costs due to decarbonization

It is said that energy costs will rise due to decarbonization. Energy costs are rising several-fold in some industries, and these increases can significantly increase product costs.

On the other hand, many renewable energies such as wind, solar, and hydropower have no fuel costs or can be procured very cheaply. Of course, the initial cost is high, but it can be said that it is the cheapest power source in terms of the cost per unit of power generation (marginal cost). As countries move toward net-zero emissions by 2050, renewable energy will likely be chosen not only for its environmental impact, but also for its cost.

Issues in Japan

Naturally, power plants are necessary for the spread of renewable energy. However, each country has its own challenges in disseminating these power plants. In Japan, compared to other countries, there are limited places with good wind conditions suitable for wind power generation and wide flat land suitable for solar power. Also, in Japan, where there are many typhoons, heavy rains, and earthquakes, the cost of disaster countermeasures is likely to be higher than in other countries.

Our strength

Accurate research and accumulation of know-how provide safe and secure facilities for renewable energy. In small wind power generation, we have recorded the highest level of power generation.

Through the accumulation of know-how, we have established a unique scheme rooted in regional consensus to thoroughly eliminate various commercialization risks and smoothly obtain approvals and licenses. We are committed to careful development so that local landowners and investors aiming to spread renewable energy can trade with peace of mind.

In addition, through thorough legal checks, we are striving to eliminate various latent business risks in advance.

What we value in promoting commercialization

The most important thing for us to promote commercialization is our relationship with the local community. We believe that the relationship between people and nature is the most important point in order to make local people feel at ease and to proceed with development. By respecting, appreciating, and understanding people and nature, we can determine what is required of us today and put it into practice. We make it a point to treat each case with respect.
